St. Joseph County 4-H Fair

Our 4-H Fair runs from July 3rd - July 11th this year. The girls will again be showing goats, rabbits and poultry (chickens and our own Bourbon Red Turkeys). Come on out and say "Hello". We are usually hanging out in the Goat Barn, which is conveniently attached to the Rabbit & Poultry Barn. More information on our fair can be found HERE.

Goats & Poultry are judged Monday, July 6th. Rabbits (breed classes) are judged Wednesday, July 8th.

The 4-H LIVESTOCK AUCTION is Friday, July 10th in the Nilus Arena. The is a great way to support a 4-H child(ren) and put some locally raised meat in your freezer. For more information on the livestock auction CLICK HERE. Our girls will have 3 market goats, 2 broiler (chickens) pairs and a pair of Bourbon Red turkeys in the auction this year. If you are interested in coming to the auction, contact us for a Pass that will get you into the fair (free) for the auction.

Hope to see you at the fair!

Look Out for Macie!

This is Macie. Our new kitty. When we went to rescue four rabbits, there was this cute little kitty running around with her 7 siblings. They needed homes too. We certainly couldn't take all of them, so we took one. Macie.

"Don't mess with me! I am fierce!"

Our Latest Acquisition

Sasha.

Napping peacefully with all her worldly possessions. This is Sasha, our (technically Abby's) new puppy we adopted on August 14th from South Bend Animal Control. We adopted our other dog from here also, and he has turned out to be SUCH a great dog. Oh, the joys of training a new puppy!

Tom Turkeys

Sebastian.

Here is a picture of one of our Bourbon Red tom turkeys. They are so pretty right now, strutting around most of the time all puffed up. We have eight toms courting two hens!
